Strongly condemn the cowardly murder of Shaheed Syed Asad Zaidi, Deputy Speaker of the Northern Areas Legislative Assembly (NALA) on 21st April 2009 at night.

The murder of Shaheed-e-Rahe-Huq Syed Asad Ziadi is a very big loss for Gilgit Baltistan political leader ship and strongly condemn this murder. The murder of Asad Zaidi is the murder of a son of the whole Gilgit-Baltistan region. The time to time killing of notables from the area shows the heinous intentions of interest groups who do not want development & peace in our region.

May Almighty Allah rest his soul in eternal peace and may Almighty Allah give strength to his bereaved family to bear this great loss (Ameen).
